BERLIN | HERBST WINTER 2014 KOLLEKTIONEN | HIEN LE
Leder. Seide. Stille Androgynität. Leather. Silk. Silent Androgyny ..
Simplicity, fluidity and quality are Berliner Hien Le’s autumn winter 2014 2015 propositions, in bordeaux, petrol, gray and nude. Palm prints on silk, flashy red-orange meets light blue chambray. Androgynous silhouettes designed for men and women in wool, cashmere, leather and silk.
In combination with bright off-white pants the handwriting of the Berlin designer was not to be overlooked. Coated cotton that looked like leather, gave the designs a new look and added the otherwise very natural feel. The last look, consisting of upper part and a- shaped skirt made of skin – to rose colored Leatherette, underlined the elegant new direction that could mean for the brand a pioneering DNA.
The diverse composition of the individual parts of the collection was underscored by the playlist , the Hien Le created together with his team. It started with “Black Skinhead ” by Kayne West, then Aaliyah , and Drake were amongst a hip playlist.
Hien Le, who was born in Laos, initially gained experience in various areas of the fashion industry: He graduated classically, apprenticed to a tailor, then worked among others for the Belgian designer Veronique Branquinho and at the fashion fair in Berlin. In 2010 he founded his own fashion label. In summer of 2011 he showed his first collection at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin ..
