I EYE POETRY

When I met STEFANO BELLOTTO, a young promising eyewear passionalist, we agreed that THE eyes have an elevated status fashion wise. I playfully looked at him and said: Why don’t you fashion my eyes? I want you to become my eyestylist! He cocked his hat: Pourquoi pas!

Our first had to be a bang. It was Epic. It was EPOS.

An EPOS is a body of narrative poetry conveying the traditions of a society by treating a heroic theme. A composition written in metrical feet (dactylic hexameter or iambic pentameter) forming rhythmical lines telling of a hero’s deeds. Epic meter. Epic verse. Epic recitation. Epic frame. An EPOS is also the perfect round frame balancing finest bespoke and vintage eye flair. “Epos dal greco antico “parola”, in senso più ampio narrazione o raccon to, il raccon to di un passa to glorioso e di avventure.

L’idea nasce in una Milano lontana dove regnava l’intramontabile stile classico, il gus to di un sar to che vestiva la nobiltà milanese e un incontro casual. Non ci pensò un attimo e la sera stessa si mise a disegnare montature dalla forme semplici ma mol to eleganti e dai colori naturali e puliti, montature che come i suoi abiti potessero diventare “senza tempo”.
