AS A ROMAN De RIBES
Ladybabes chez #AdelineAndré
_

One of the most famous femme du monde, #JacquelinedeRibes is (still) often regarded as the epi tome of iconic dressing. Her ravishing port de tête—altier rather than sticking a neck sparks on to the sylphide silhouette—allowed her be hautaine, enticing and allegorical without being obnoxiously repulsive. Her exuberant sobriety captured the spirit of sensuality and excitement in the #Hautecouture culture of fin-de-millénaire Paris. She was one of the guests who attended Carlos de Beistegui famous “Le Bal oriental” in 1951, Alexis von Rosenberg, Baron de Rédé famous “Bal des Têtes” in 1957 and the “Oriental bal” in 1969, both at the Hôtel Lambert. “Jacqueline was the queen of it all, the #deGaulle of #fashion. For French culture, the last real fireworks were in haute couture. And Jacqueline was in on that boom.” Prince Nicolas Dadeshkeliani. “I was born on July 14 – I evidently stirred up a little revolution.” Jacqueline Bonnin de La Bonninière de Beaumon. There was a réminiscence of de Ribes in today’s #Hautecouture Au tomne Hiver 2015 2016 opening by #AdelineAndré with a #roman goddess twist. The couture minimalist showed dresses, tunics and soft trousers cut in simple, pure shapes resembling the palla of the #Greek circa 1970. Mind you, Adeline assisted #MarcBohan in the seventies chez @Dior for the Haute couture collections. Un clin de nostalgie? Oui. Her signature is still faithful: femme-femme.
