Admiring #Boldini or Renaissance paintings, looking at art at any time, even abstract paintings of #Picasso, they always show a figure of woman or man, consistent with the period in which it was painted, confirming how fashion continue to accompany us and how it has accompanied humanity in all ages. Fashion is therefore un doubtedly true art, and the proof lies in the fact that it is present in museums ” #GianniVersace, a modern cognoscente, has translated his models in to mobile sculptures that walk, making them in sculpted and goddesses dresses, on which are painted the #Calder amplitudes, so that Calder’s sculpture is more than an ornemental layer. Reinterpreting #Delaunay, Gianni #Versace cued Robert’s ideas with Sonia’s fabulous textile inventions, capturing her essence in her wishes, like her dancing on a silk chiffon dress without straps. I see their art translated in to clothings made to be a show. That was the essence of Versace’s couture. I remember the Sforzesco exhibition titled “The Dress for Thinking”, which was a crucial moment for the definition, in public as well as at the level of critique, of the creative @Versace_official journey accomplished in symbiosis with the world of figurative arts. 20 years later, @Donatella_Versace continues to embrace, with brio, the genius, generous, provocateur and voyeur of her Pigmalion. “I’m not interested in the past, except for the fact that it is the way for the future.” 1997. 2017.
