Lecco | Sofia Alemani L’Architessutista

A decade in to architecture and interior designer paved Sofia Alemani’s to build in fabrics and textures. From her practical experiences in architecture and design, sculpture and painting, theatrical staging and set design, Sofia circles between fashion and les arts premiers. Of course, her last collection, about double faced and double personality, is injected with furnishing and tapestry fabrics, like the ever delicate, ever colorful Damask.

DOUBLE is about Francis Bacon’s faces, movement toward the possibility of changing and reinventing the present inspired by Star Wars’s halloween’s .

DOUBLE is a force of division between the inner and the outer, an expression of our inner drive for change that wants to emerge and lead. In times of radical changes, this collection represents an artistic proposal for a individual path towards deconstructing your personality and find greater creative free dom.

DOUBLE is Sofia’s and all of us possibilité to choose a personal revolution. As she did when at the age of 34, she found the courage to pursue her passion. She quits her architect job to become a fashion designer: started from scratch, learning the tricks and techniques with une petite main.

Years of trenches later, Sofia Alemani was able to design and realize her own creations. Hers has been a long journey where love for her passion continues to breed her creative quests, always triggered not by the design but rather by les tissus.

The denim side can be complimented with a bordeaux fitted jumpsuit with a knee length boot. The green damask side can be complemented with an empire-waist long evening solid color dress worn with heels by her favori to Manolo Blahnik.

Sofia Alemani spends time in her labocouture in Lecco, a small village that lies at the end of the south-eastern branch of Lake Como: Lago di Lecco. The Bergamo Alps rise to the north and east for her contemplative shapes, lines and volumes, all inspired from fabrics and colors. “Each fabric can turn a single design in to something completely new and different.” Un rien démesuré.
