Paris | Haute Couture | ALL ABOUT DIOR

Today, July 2, 2012, the presentation of the first Haute Couture collection created by designer Raf Simons for the House of Dior is sure to be the highlight of the week. Just as Christian Dior’s first collection was in his day.

It all starts with couture. Each season, it’s the event that provides a creative injection for the whole house of Dior. And, this season, designer Raf Simons is showing his first-ever haute couture collection. It’s taking place in Paris, in just under a few hours, in a secret location, for a tightly-edited group of h and-picked guests, top clients, superstar journalists and VIPs from the world over. Who among you has ever dreamt of discreetly slipping in to the salons for a show? Or of being a fly on the wall, peering through the keyhole, getting up on tippy- toes so as to not miss a thing?

Today, at 14h30, wherever you might be, DiorMag will transport you in the blink of an eye, via satellite feed, to the center of everything. And not just simply the show live as it happens, but even more than that! For if the attending guests, perched on their Napoleon III chairs, are confined to a single viewpoint and their own two eyes, our twelve cameras allow you the viewer to be everywhere at once, with a vantage point that’s as close as possible to the dresses and the action. Something to say or ask about the show? If you’re wondering who that fabulous woman sitting opposite in the front row is, and what the inspiration for her jacket is, all the answers to your questions are to be found on Twitter where the DiorMag team will be keeping you informed in real time @Dior. Continuing throughout the week, in the magazine, you’ll get to discover, bit by bit, the workings of the show: the backstage and front row, the guests and the ateliers, and the decor. All s tories of firsts.
