The Pradamalia are fantasy charms composed of elements of the Prada oeuvre. They are imaginary creatures not intended to have any reference to the real world and certainly not blackface.” Prada’s oeuvre? The boilerplate empty apology is utterly conspicuous – I am sarcastic -coming from a company “Thinking fashion since 1913”; confirming moreover by its own response to this matter that mass pseu doculture and cultural homogenization of #racism are mixed with a castration of fantasy. Modern illiteracy that is [not] to be unders tood with superficiality instead or respectability. The good culture is lost in the big shell of the mass media, in the excess of information, and therefore the chances that it reaches the average citizen are really low. This vortex of pseu doculture is so fast, so powerful that every decade more and more people lose sight of the true culture to become subtle of pseu doculture. More and more shit is produced and distributed in every area. Sociologist #ZygmuntBauman thought well to define our society as “liquid” (Liquid Modernity 1999), and he was quite right: everything flows, everything is precarious, superficial, a society in which the boundaries and social references are lost and a deep void marks the existence of individuals. The lack of culture has consequently given life to an era without certainties, without a vision of the future, without memory of the past. Fashions that follow each other quickly, faster and faster, are leaving bewildered men and women in their relation with their identities-at-large. We are witness to the loss of intellectual au tonomy that affects the masses, victims of this pseu do-culture dedicated to marketing. With this I do not mean that today there is no longer a culture of quality, it exists, but it is a niche. A niche in the era of fusion and confusion.
