“I began my modeling career when I was 15 years old in #Pre toria and #Johannesburg. While I worked at modeling, I completed a BS degree in dietetics, had 3 children, then added a Master of Science degree. I worked diligently at my education, never imagining my modeling career would span more than 50 years.

Yes, I was still modeling at 42, living in #Toron to, represented by what became the #Elite Modeling. As if modeling weren’t enough to keep me busy, I also obtained my second MS degree, this time in Nutritional Sciences @UofT and I made time to rewrite the exams to register as a dietitian in #Canada and the #US. Busy lady!

By 50 I had moved to #NewYork and my career took on an exciting new energy with major campaigns for #Clinique and #Revlon.

To celebrate my 60th birthday I s topped coloring my hair, cut it short and let my natural silver color shine. The new look brought a major campaign for Virgin #America, […].

Today I am based in #LosAngeles and New York.

Well @MetMuseum, @LauraMHolson ? and I could not agree more about Dame Musk’s androgynous #Avatar-esque style. Age is not a cage. Age is swage.

From a plus-size model to a size posh diva, she understated feminity in to felinity, intelligence in to subtleness and refinement in to warm obnoxiousness. If the #MetGala was #ManusxMachina, #MayeMusk statuesque in her @YunaYang Blue Cobalt was L’Andro-New Yorkaise par excellence. Hair. Skin. Teeth. Quietly loud. I would have chosen another pair of heels, par don my snob.

Aparté. I’m wondering why no lady decided to wear the précurseur @ChalayanStudio or the 3D-Kinetica @IrisvanHerpen (dressed in herself) or busted out a vintage 80s @Muglerofficial.

This #Gala was not meant to dress you in a #silver space metalli-disco, roué by the way, but was suppose to push you to imagine what a garment can be, what a folie can be in to your own sense of style through audacity not eccentricity à tout prix. It seems #technology was confused with pretty instead of intricacy.
