“It’s a continuation – as always I like to redefine and confuse the meaning of masculinity and feminity, because honestly, this to me just does not exist. It’s some made up rule we have been running with forever and it’s starting to become really boring. ” says @Pedram.Karimi_ as he reveals his passion for compassion.

Showing for the first time @NYFW, #PedramKarimi creations are both intriguing and jolting: the hot summer of young men at an underground festival; a marble- jewelled androgynous women, taping his minimalism in to @LLYAtelier_Agathe.Bodineau geometric and refined one. There is the darker club scene feel reflecting Karimi’s fascination with gender equality. “I feel it’s necessary to delete all the misconceptions we have learnt all along and reprogram and rehabilitate our society in some more sustainable ways of thinking and being for the sake of future generations. This can only be done collectively, even though it all starts with the individual.” Faute de mieux, courage is the new black. He gets it, sights it, tailors it.

So what’s next ? “It will be more conceptual, am also getting more and more in to making art. So we will see how that goes.”. Pedram Karimi is a kind hearted independent spirit that cannot be contained inside the silvered cage of fashion and .. #Montreal. Never déjà vu.
