“It was important to go back to the roots because it’s when you know your foundation that you can build up a very strong direction. So naturally, I gravitated towards the saddle-making to explore all the different techniques and how I could translate them in to ready- to-wear. When designing for #Hermes, you cannot avoid #leather – I think people have this staple in mind when they think about Hermès. There is an infinite quality to it for me in bringing out the feminine side of the house, and what’s very interesting with the #silk is the spectrum of colours on offer and the range of illustrations, which create a sense of fantasy. At Hermès, I am really designing for a certain cosmopolitan way of living – a woman who travels – and #NewYork and #Lon don gave me new perspectives because the day is very long in those cities and you need to look greatly contemporary, and I really want to forge a new attitude.” #NadegeVanheeCybulski is not only the least egocentric designer of dreams, and memory @Hermes. Under her gaze, she is shaping a new elegance of serenity and transcendence with a natural purity d’esprit. A sporty after-tennis #SS16 that can only be defined by its perfection.
