If Kabuki is a classical Japanese dance-drama, known for the stylization of its drama and for the elaborate make-up worn by its performers, @MaisonMargiela’s catwalk was indeed its hair-hat, high tech make up – @PatMcGrathreal genius strikes again – neoprene drama-dresses reminiscence with a gedatsu spirit. In #Buddhism, #gedatsu means the freeing of the spirit from any kind of earthly passion. A total emancipation for a human being or a ghost. In these conflicts the #galliano demoiselle is torn between her sense of style and the dictates of her heart. Sometimes one, sometimes the other wins out; but the result is usually gr and either way.
