WEAK FASHION WEEK ?

@BritishFashionCouncil #twitter’s is 1,02M #followers. @MBFWMadrid? 70,4K followers. 1 million vs less than 10%: #Madrid loses to #Lon don. #Lon donFashionWeek? 18-22 September. #MBFWM? same dates! How odd that the diseña dores (de la movida) #AgathaRuizdelaPrada, #FrancisMontesinos or (my next gen fav’s) @UlisesMerida ( and the ever daring #ElenaMartin of #MartinLamothe not showing in this season) or the confirma dos #MariaEscote and #JuanjoOliva (our video) could unanimously agree on the very same schedule, from the smallest br and to the biggest, to compete with the British Fashion Week on the very same week? If this is not a coup de grâce to the fashion scene in #Espana what is! Are we in a #TerciodeMuerte here? I firmly believe that #spanish #designers deserve better from their leadership. I am not attacking Mrs #LeonorPerezPita head of Pasarela #Cibeles ( and Direc tor de Comunicación y Marketin #RaulDiez) but they should not let it down simply to who would fold first. The organizers of both Madrid and Lon don and CFDA’s NYFW and Milano CameraModa and #Paris fashion weeks should seek to dismiss firmness in their refusal to alter their show calendars. Ultimately every city would hone its creative designers the fair way. Fashion weeks are not about Tier1, Tier2, or Tier3 cities. Fashion weeks are about designers showing to the edi tors, buyers and mostly people of the world their collections. But his saturday all eyes are focused on #LFW #SS16 because of its media pull while nearly no one is in the know – media wise – about the #MBFWM15. Like you telling me “#DavidHockney is a blast!” and I, answering “Have you seen #PabloPicasso’s at #MuseodelPra do?” ..
