FOR ME IT WAS MAGIC

Born in #Canada, #ChrisGelinas spent much of his childhood abroad where he learned to appreciate the aesthetic richness of diverse cultures and environments. Gelinas graduated with a design degree from Parsons School of Design. He refined his technical skills at some of the industry’s most acclaimed fashion houses including #MarcJacobs, #ProenzaSchouler, #Balenciaga, and as first assistant to #OlivierTheyskens at #Theyskens’ #Theory. #Gelinas has been quickly recognized for his innovative approach and attention to detail, being shortlisted as a finalist in the first #LVMH #Young #Fashion #Designers prize and his debut @CGStudioNYC collection won the @MADE for #Peroni Young #Designer #Award in 2013

His eye for detail fueled a #SS16 about pleated vulnerability in nostalgia of .. moments. Fleeting moments. Moments of intimacy. Moments that dissolve your surroundings.
