ALAÏA CHIAROSCURO

#MarieSalamangne, the nose who worked with Mr. #Alaïa to create the accord of the scent, is delighted that the eau de #parfum “is a true oddity – it has nothing to do with what is currently offered.” Starting with an impression of airy notes and pink pepper – reminiscing childhood memories of his gr andmother in #Tunisia splashing water against scorching-hot walls -, matched by a floral layer of freesia and peony and the musk and animal notes of bare skin – it is multi-layered, and yet earnestly simple and unfussy. The bottle, created by #MartinSkezely, reproduces #Alaïa’s signature cut-out pattern that first appeared on a belt in 1992, while the cap resembles a spool of golden thread. His dear friend and creative camarade #CarlaSozzani engaged #MarieSalamagne in this journey as well as pho tographer #PaoloRoversi. #AzzedineAlaia was adamant that the scent exude a long–lasting freshness.
