Angelos Bratis has been selected by Giorgio Armani to present his Angelos Bratis Spring 2015 collection with a fashion show at the armani /Teatro. The show will take place on September 17th at 9am.

“My initiative in supporting little-known but promising designers is paying off, and personally I am quite passionate about it. I wish him a successful future,” said Giorgio Armani. Last year, he has elected Italo-Haitian @StellaJeanltd for the spring summer collection.

Angelos drapes his creations directly on mannequins, creating outfits characterized by lightness and movement and giving the Angelos Bratis woman freedom of expression. The natural ease of his style is the result of a signature “complex simplicity.” Angelos has curated several exhibitions on art, fashion and architecture. He also taught his passion for the “moulage” at the Akto Design School of Athens the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and the Academy of Fashion and Costume in Rome.

“I am truly honoured to have been chosen by Giorgio Armani to present my new collection in his prestigious theatre in Milan. For me, the great Italian maestro is the perfect example of a designer who has deep values, expressed throughout a long career. These are the same values that I try to express in my work: femininity and pure elegance without artifice,” said angelosbratis

Angelos Bratis is a Greek designer born in Athens in 1978. After graduating in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute Arnhem in Amsterdam, Bratis moved to Italy and began honing his talent through collaborations “behind the scenes” with great designers. In 2011 he won first prize “Who Is On Next?” Alta Roma and Vogue Italy’s talent search for emerging fashion designers, decided by a jury composed of Suzy Menkes of the International Herald Tribune, @FrancaSozzani1 of Vogue Italia, Mark Holgate of Vogue and retailers saks Fifth Avenue and @HarveyNichols In January 2013, Wallpaper* Magazine called Angelos Bratis as one of the most important emerging designers to watch. Reviewing the Fall 2014 collection, @SuzyMenkesVogue now chez Vogue wrote in The @NYTimesFashion then that “Angelos Bratis made what often requires years of training seem so wearable, so elegant and so easy. ”

For Autumn Winter 2014, Angelos Bratis reinvent a femme-femme from a film noir, in desirably austère geometrical silhouettés tainted by precious silk back crepe, chiffon, lame, lurex, double wools and herringbones. The colour palette is muted, with absolute black being the protagonist offered in different surfaces that absorbs or reflects the light while dusty silver and various shades of gold dresses the late hours. His new volumes suggest control and a hidden sensuality. Bias cut tube dresses suit the female body as glove while drapping details are pinned and tacked asymmetrically reminiscing of healed scars.
