1983 — 1990 Pierre Hardy teaches the scenography at The Theater School, Rue Blanche.

1987 — 1990 Designs the women shoe collections for CHRISTIAN DIOR.

1990 Pierre Hardy becomes Creative Director for the Women’s and Men’s shoe collections at HERMÈS.

1999 Pierre Hardy launches his namesake brand with the Spring — Summer Women’s shoe collection.

2001 Pierre Hardy begins his collaboration with Nicolas Ghesquière at BALENCIAGA developing both Women’s and
Men’s shoe Collections. Pierre Hardy is named Creative Director for HERMÈS Fine Jewellery division.

2002 The PIERRE HARDY Men’s shoe collection is launched.

2012 Pierre Hardy is made “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres”, honour awarded by France to artists. Pierre Hardy revises EDITIONS DE PARFUMS FRÉDÉRIC MALLE travel sprays

Pierre Hardy was born and raised in Paris. He studies dance while completing a degree in fine arts from the Ecole Normale Supérieure and joins his first professionnal dance company upon graduation.
