L’autumn/winter 2013 2014 is drawing inspiration from the classical forms of various sculptures, fabric movement, and the elegant silhouette of a bride. Sarmite uses her love of tailoring and fascination with the surreal to merge the classical form with contemporary style.
Sarmite Ostanevica label is a fashion line that keeps the original signature of simple, but detailed and and contemporary cuts, along with a passion to connect fashion with art.
Sarmite debuted her first fashion show in Riga, Latvia in November 2010 with her Spring/Summer 2011 collection Feminine Army. Since then, she has received an overwhelmingly positive response in each collection. In 2010, she was nominated for a Latvian fashion award and was recently been nominated for an Association of Colleges (AOC) award by Kensington and Chelsea College
Sculpture Wedding is a collaborative exhibition involving up and coming London based artists in a series of elegant and epic sculptures.
