Lon don | Faustine Steinmetz | A_W 2013

“In our East Lon don studio, we spin, dye and weave our own fabrics. We also create textiles out of used objects and clothes. All of our fibers and pieces are sourced and worked in Engl and. We work around the theme of iconic pieces, the kinds that everybody has or has had in their wardrobe, sometimes even in their cupboard. We like when things are not what they seem to be. Faustine Steinmetz has been created in 2012, after Faustine completed her Masters in fashion at Central Saint Martins. Before that, she studied pattern cutting and design in Paris, and assisted designers such as Henrik Vibskov, Jeremy Scott and Andrea Crews. We work towards producing series of anthemic pieces, which say something, something about you, something about fashion, something about art, something about us.
