NARCISS fashion show will take place on April 3 in the concert hall “Spikeri” together with CreativeLatvia.com Latvian fashion designers’ shop new online platform launching event. NARCISS’s newest collection can be described as a mix of dark drama and fairy tale. The designer uses contrasting fabrics in this collection – rough wool is combined with delicate silks and sheer, lightweight fabrics with heavy ones.

ALEXANDER PAVLOV is back on Riga Fashion Week catwalk after three season break. The accents in his newest collection are fabric plaits and dresses in blue, classic beige and natural pistachio green.

The combination of western and eastern motifs is the basis of “Katya Katya Shehurina” collection – the designer has united reserved manners typical to the Victorian era and her vision of the eternal Japanese kimono.

Natalija Jansone’s collection is made of 100% wool and knitwear. The knitwear processed using a special technology (boiler wool) was used for the production of knitted coats that makes the clothes especially elastic, warmer and more comfortable to wear.

Design by Zanete Auzina is fully orientated at a pragmatic yet romantic woman who has found her individual style and feels best as a rational and strong person being aware of art, music, social and cultural spheres.

ANNA LED’s collection creates connection between past and present, luxury and simplicity. Collection silhouettes are laconic, presented in grey, black, smoky and beige colours. A woman by ANNA LED chooses suits, knitted dresses, coats, cardigans, maxi tweed skirts and embroidered shawls.

The debut collection of Nóló brand is inspired by the époque of reign of Queen Victoria – the mistress of fashion reforms. The collection includes different types of garments from loungewear and casual wear to whimsical evening gowns. The fabrics and elements used in the collection are splendid and luxury – taffeta, jacquard, heavy silks, velvet, lace, tulle, fur and Swarovski crystals.

The source of inspiration for Irina Skladnova’s collection is Tamara de Łempicka – famous Polish Art Deco epoch portrait painter among the haute bourgeoisie and aristocracy. The collection is characterized by weightlessness of fabrics, clear lines and colour choice (black, green, purple, red), natural leather and furs, branded embroidery. A woman by “Skladnova” chooses silk dresses completed with leather biker jackets and vests.

Alexandra Westfal is a graduate of the European School of Design in Milan. Her debut collection was inspired by the outstanding work of the “Brizak” Fashion house for the Russian Imperial court in the early 1900’s. The emphasis is put on the femininity, elegant minimalism and grace, furthermore, the details such as embroidery, textured knits and special laser cut ornaments highlight the uniqueness of each look.

The RIGA FASHION WEEK show schedule will be complemented by the presentations of the newest collections by the foreign designersIeva Daugirdaite from Lithuania, Estonian fashion brand “Pohjanheimo”, “lena Tsokalenko” from Belarus and “COMEFORBREAKFAST” from Italy.

A young Lithuanian designer Ieva Daugirdaite is a graduate of the Design College in Vilnius. A woman that wears clothes by Daugirdaite chooses trench coats, dresses, skirts and jackets made of matte and glossy leather of different textures and furs.

Already known to Latvian fashionistas Estonian fashion brand “Pohjanheimo” again takes part in RIGA FASHION WEEK. The new collection by “Pohjanheimo” brings the feeling of luxury to everyday life. The philosophy of “Pohjanheimo” is based on Scandinavian minimalism with accent on details.

The names behind the label “COMEFORBREAKFAST are Antonio Romano, creative soul of the brand, and Francesco Alagna, the commercial mind. The creative duo founded the brand in2009 and rapidly gained respect and praise thanks to their clear ideas and coherence in giving life to COMEFORBREAKFAST, an essential, contemporary ready to wear line with highly stylistic content. For their ultimate collection, Antonio and Francesco flew from Milan to New York, Harlem, looking for inspiration. Here they are, coming to Riga with what they have to say.
