How do styles travel and mediate identity?
In an unprecedented dialogue between past and present worlds of fashion, “TRADING STYLE” presents over 500 his toric objects, pho tographs and films from the Weltkulturen Museum’s collection together with new designs for clothing and accessories by four international fashion labels: Buki Akib (Nigeria), CassettePlaya (Great Britain) and Teimaz Shahverdi. The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive publication (Kerber Verlag). Produced in cooperation with Theatrum Mundi
“Collection of the Collection”
Based on the exhibition “TRADING STYLE”, six designers develop new limited editions that are presented and sold at the Weltkulturen Museum. The Berlin label “New Tendency” creates an exclusive edition of bags. Further limited editions with Saskia Diez
