La Maison Carven

Madame Carven sets up shop at the Rond-Point des Champs-Elysées in May 1945 to launch a collection of Haute Couture. During the 50’s the House grows and occupies the entire first floor of the his torical address.

In the 1960’s, Carven develops its international presence, imposing its signature and contributing to the reputation of French elegance abroad.

In 1970, Carven has become a phenomenon in Japan, where women perfectly identify with Madame Carven’s creations, designed for small women like her.

In the 80’s, Madame Carven, passionate about traveling, tours the world with her models, leaving the scent of her perfumes at each destination…

In 1995, the Carven House turns 50. On this occasion, Madame Carven’s creations are presented in a retrospective fashion show at the Musée Galliera. The exhibition pays tribute to Madame Carven’s creations over the last five decades. Added to this is a collection of sketchbooks and a collection of illustrated or pho tography albums.

In 2010, Guillaume Henry joins the House as art direc tor Of Carven, he keeps only a spirit, like a scent left by someone when leaving a room… A scent with fresh, spontaneous and elegant notes.
