Inverted Pietà. AVA Catherside

AVA Catherside is the name of the new ready-to-wear womenswear and menswear lines by Anna Gloria Flores and Veronica Todisco.

“Our inspiration is a constant energy flow which develops unconsciously as a reaction to the impulses we receive every day. AVA Catherside rejects the idea of fashion as an extension of the ego of a single individual and the role of the designer as the creator of a message from nothing. Our garments come to life like geometric works on bare skin. We let the materials inspire us, and the way the materials interact with the body shape. It all comes from there: the choice of the fabrics is a fundamental part of our research.”
