On April 21st, Gucci hosted a runway fashion show of its latest women’s and men’s ready to wear collections in Shanghai. The event which was attended by Gucci’s Creative Direc tor Frida Giannini, will be followed by an exclusive cocktail, gathering top Chinese and Hollywood celebrities.

Gucci are emphasizing the critical importance of the Chinese market, where major international luxury fashion houses have been increasing their marketing efforts in China in the past years. French luxury maison of Christian Dior organized April 14, a lavish event in Shanghai, featuring the runway show of its latest haute couture collection. The Dior event in Shanghai took place at the House of Roosevelt which was converted to resemble Dior’s iconic showroom in Paris on Avenue Montaigne.

Lanvin will host tomorrow on April 26th a runway show of its latest collection in Beijing, with Alber Elbaz, its Creative Direc tor, attending. Giorgio Armani will round up the fashion shows in China this Spring, with a major catwalk show on May 31st. The Armani fashion show will also mark the company’s over 10 year presence in China.
